Princess Kate, who was pregnant with her second child, Princess Charlotte, was suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), a severe form of morning sickness. Given that Kate, whom Harry refers to as ‘the sister I’ve never had’ in his biography Spare, was ill, Harry elected to postpone the party so she could attend.

At the time, a source told the Mirror that Harry was certain that the celebration should be postponed, despite the fact that 30 is a significant milestone. Kate had been heavily involved in organizing Harry’s party, and when she became unwell, he thought it was inappropriate to let the event go forward.

According to another Vanity Fair source, the party was eventually held.
