Rakesh Singh was named as the next Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Paytm Money Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of One97 Communications Limited, which is situated in Bengaluru, Karnataka, in April 2024. He took over as CEO of Paytm Money after Varun Sridhar, who had held the position since 2020, resigned.
- Rakesh Singh had been the CEO of broking services at the discount brokerage company Fisdom, supported by PayU, for more than five years prior to this appointment.
- Additionally, he has experience working for financial services firms including ICICI Bank, HDFC Securities, and Standard Chartered.
