Jetha Ahir is elected as the chairman of NAFED

Jethabhai Bharvad (Ahir), a BJP MLA from Shehra seat in Gujarat, was chosen unopposed as chairman of the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd (NAFED) during the election in Delhi.

  • He succeeds Bijender Singh, who served as NAFED Chairman since 2007.
  • He received support from Mohan Kundariya, Member of Parliament (MP) for Rajkot Lok Sabha constituency (Gujarat), and was chosen unopposed by the board of 21 directors, two of which are from Gujarat.
